Voice-Agent Audit Terms

VoiceLayer is operated by Hastkari LLC. · Effective October 4, 2026

These terms apply when you ask VoiceLayer to audit a voice agent through our free audit. Our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy also apply. You don’t need a VoiceLayer account to ask for an audit.

1. You must be authorized

When you ask for an audit, you confirm that:

  • you own the voice agent and the phone number or link you gave us, or you are authorized by its owner to have it tested;
  • the agent answers as a business line or service, not as a person’s private phone; and
  • you consent to our automated, recorded test calls to it.

We record that confirmation, the version of these terms you agreed to, and when and from where you agreed. Asking us to call an agent you aren’t authorized to test breaks these terms and our Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Which numbers we call

We place no audit calls until you confirm your email from the link we sent. We call business lines in the United States and Canada only: we check each number with its carrier, and we never call a line the carrier reports as a mobile or personal phone, nor toll-free, premium-rate or service (N11) numbers.

We audit any one number at most once every 30 days, whoever asks. A person reviews every request before we call, and we may decline any request for any reason, including when we can’t tell that the number belongs to the business that asked.

3. The test calls

  • Our calls are placed by an automated caller with a synthetic voice. It says at the start of each call that the call is automated and recorded.
  • Each call lasts at most 5 minutes. We place a small number of calls per audit, each playing a different kind of caller.
  • Our callers use made-up details. Don’t configure your agent to take real actions (payments, bookings, transfers to people) on our calls, or tell us beforehand which actions it will take.
  • Calls to your agent may cost you money with your own providers (telephony, speech or model usage). Those costs are yours.

4. Recordings and your information

We keep the recordings and transcripts of audit calls for 90 days to prepare and support your scorecard, then delete them. Email us to have them deleted sooner.

We use your name, work email, company and what you tell us about your agent to run the audit and to follow up with you about it and about VoiceLayer. You can opt out of follow-up at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to us.

5. What the scorecard is, and is not

Observations, not certification

The scorecard reports what we observed on our test calls: latency, how the agent handled interruptions, whether it reached the goal you described, and risk observations such as missing disclosures or how it handled personal data. It is not legal advice and not a certification that your agent is, or is not, compliant with any law or standard.

The audit is provided free and “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Hastkari LLC’s total liability arising from an audit is limited to US $100.

6. Changes

We may change these terms. A request is governed by the version you agreed to when you made it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
